According to one high-ranking White house officials, despite several plans to regulate cryptocurrency, the United States is unlikely to take one of them in the near future.
On Friday, in an interview with CNBC, the cybersecurity coordinator for the White house Rob Joyce said that the plans to regulate the market is still far from perfect. To make a clear plan for regulation, the government should fully consider the advantages and disadvantages of the cryptocurrency.
I think we still do not fully understand all the pros and cons of this market. So to full regulation of the market still far – said Joyce at a security conference in Munich, when asked about the future of state regulation.
Joyce was not the first government official of the White house to intercept cryptanalyst. Last month Finance Minister Steven Mnuchin expressed her concern about the cryptocurrency, telling the audience at the Economic club in Washington, state agencies investigating the illegal activities associated with cryptocurrency. He also pointed out that the Council for supervision of financial stability have gathered a working group to study an emerging market.
