In December last year, the exchange Poloniex announced that all its users are obliged to verify, in order to maintain access to your accounts in the first quarter of 2018. In February, the exchange was bought by us payment company Circle. Many believe that the requirement of verification of accounts related to this sale, as the new owner of the exchange carefully approaches the question of identification of the users of its products and the fight against money laundering. “I’m an unverified user. When I went today to the stock exchange, I was told to get verified,” he explains. “I did, and then received a confirmation email. Other users write that they were not warned in advance that the account will be immediately blocked.

“Something wrong, Poloniex. I clearly remember that before 2018 you warned about disabling trade for unverified users. Then you reported that such users will be able to withdraw their money,” said one of the participants in the conversation. “I don’t even received a letter which said about the time frame!”
