Investment company Pantera Capital Management has published a blog post that over the past five years, the Pantera Bitcoin Fund has resumed about 10136,15% (net of commissions and expenses) from investments. The company also announced that it expects growth in the value of cryptocurrency bitcoin (BTC) to 67500 dollars by the end of 2019.
Pantera Capital was founded in 2013 by a former trader and the hedge Fund Manager Dan Morehead, which is the current investment officer and CEO. The Fund has over $ 700 million in assets under management (in 2 and 4 crypto-currency venture Fund).
This month’s bitcoin Fund Pantera celebrated the five year anniversary. The company felt that it would be interesting to share with users of two e-mails sent out by the Director in 2013 (at a cost of bitcoin to about $ 104), the basis for its original (and still strong) belief that bitcoin will become a global currency and revolutionairy system cross-border payments. Here are some of the excerpts from these letters.
“I wanted to share my conviction that bitcoin will explode in value… I think BTC will be over the threshold of $ 200 within the next 6-8 weeks.”
“Yesterday, I discussed the money with the investor and he answered somewhat scornfully: “It’s like buying gold.” No, it’s like buying gold in the year 1000 BC. 99% of financial wealth has not yet come to bitcoin. When they reach their heights, it will cost about 5,000 dollars.”
“In my opinion, it looks like a decision on whether to buy shares of Microsoft on the same day at a price of $ 0.20 per share. It was hard to do it when the stock was only $ 0.10 for a long time.”
Representatives Pantera Capital, we believe that the predicted price using the historical trend line would be $ 21,000 dollars by the end of 2018 and 67500 dollars at the end of 2019.
