In Bulgaria, police arrested three hackers suspected of stealing cryptocurrency of $5 million, one of them then released on bail of 50 million leva (about $30 thousand). They seized about $3 million in cryptocurrency and equipment: computers and devices for data storage – and a car worth 60 thousand Bulgarian leva (about $35 thousand).

According to local police, who led the investigation five months after receiving the first complaints from victims of scammers, the detainees used a fundamentally new methods and special software for cracking passwords and private keys of users kryptomere and cryptocell.

Recall that in may last year law enforcement bodies of Bulgaria stopped activity of criminal group, seized more than 200 thousand bitcoins. At the beginning of this year, the local Prosecutor’s office started cooperation with the security forces of Germany and representatives of Eurojust and Europol to neutralize large-scale fraudulent pyramid OneCoin. And in July, the financial supervision Commission of Bulgaria (FSC) announced that it will begin monitoring market, cryptocurrency and the ICO to develop measures against the laundering of money obtained illegally, and fraud.
