Chapter cryptocurrency platform Bakkt Kelly Leffler in his blog on the Medium reported that testing of bitcoin futures will be launched in July.

According to her, in the near future Bakkt will work with customers to in July to prepare for the test at the user level (user acceptance testing) futures and custodial services. On the platform will be represented by futures contracts with daily and monthly calculations. Leffler said that now Bakkt works closely with the Commission on trade commodity futures U.S. (CFTC), and is doing everything to comply with the requirements of the regulator.

Also on the website of Intercontinental Exchange (of a company that supports Bakkt and is the owner of the new York stock exchange) published two documents that describe the requirements of the CFTC to listing bitcoin futures.

It is worth noting that this post appeared a few weeks after it became known that Bakkt has partnered with a major U.S. Bank BNY Mellon. Also it became known about acquisition Bakkt Digital Asset Custody Company (DACC), which provides services for storage of digital assets.
